“Do AC” Marketing Group Votes to Dissolve
The marketing group behind the “Do AC” campaign has voted to disband.
The Atlantic City Alliance, the group behind the “DO AC” campaign, voted earlier this week. The group, mandated by law, is made up of representatives from the owners of Atlantic City’s casinos.
“It’s a casualty of these incredibly difficult times,” Borgata president/CEO Tom Ballance told the Inquirer. “We’re over it,” Golden Nugget general manager Tom Pohlman added.

The funding for the Atlantic City Alliance comes from casinos. The casinos say they need the $30 million a year budgeted for the tourism group, but state officials may have other ideas.
