Man Crush Monday: Rick Naughton

Every week, Philly gay gents share their local picks for Man Crush Monday. This week: Rick Naughton, the glowing-skinned executive director of Liberty PA 2014, a political action committee that aims to mobilize LGBT voters and allies to elect equality-minded Democrats—like  gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf—into office in Pennsylvania.

Hi, I'm Rick Naughton. Since tomorrow is Election Day, I thought I'd "cast my vote" for who I think are five of the best catches in Philadelphia. Here's my #ManCrushMonday. (Hint: Click on each of their names to find them on Instagram.)

Kenneth Bennett Shipman

Not only is Bennett (as he's known) a gorgeous hunk, but he is also a total sweetheart! Bennett has a heart of gold and I've never heard him say a bad word about anyone. Bennett is a talented artist and an athlete to boot; you can find him on Sundays playing as my teammate on the "Purple Team," the defending champions of Stonewall Kickball Philly.

Daniel Paugh

Daniel is another totally crush-worthy hunk (just look at those eyes!) who also happens to be a genuinely nice guy. We've bonded over our mutual love of science and science fiction, and it's refreshing to meet someone who embraces his "nerdy side." And wait until you hear his voice; this man can carry a tune! Daniel is one of those rare individuals whose inside is as beautiful as his outside.

Chris Ortiz

Chris turns heads wherever he goes, because not only is he strikingly handsome, but he's also such an outgoing guy! Chris is in school studying to be a physician assistant (he's got brains!) and looks equally dashing in a suit or in a tank top (to show off those muscles!)

Justin James

Philadelphia's own version of "Dr. McDreamy," Justin is probably as close to perfection as any man could be: chiseled abs, a friendly personality, and a passion for helping others (as evidenced by his profession as a physician.) Justin has worked hard and definitely sacrificed a lot to get to where he's at in life, and he deserves nothing but the best in return.

Kirk Beres

Kirk is the quintessential "Boy Next Door," with his boyish good looks and his winning personality. Without a doubt, Kirk is the man you'd want to bring home to introduce to your family because he's got such a level head on his shoulders and he possesses such a warm heart. And although Kirk travels the world for his job at a major global corporation, he's never lost that down-to-Earth charm thats sets hearts aflutter.
