Missanelli Apologizes for Cruz Injury Tweet
Mike Missanelli, a host on 97.5 The Fanatic, is an unpopular man in New York this morning after he sent out a taunting Tweet in the wake of Victor Cruz’s injury in the Giants’ game against the Eagles.
That Tweet is even on the cover of the New York Daily News today:
Missanelli has deleted the Tweet and apologized, saying he didn’t realize Cruz had been injured on the play:
I apologize for the Cruz tweet. I didn't see that he got hurt on the play. Was outside the stadium and saw he dropped it walking to my car

I just saw on big screen outside stadium that he dropped the pass. Didn't see that he got hurt on play. My bad.

Again, I only saw him drop the ball on a big screen from the parking lot on my way to subway. I didn't see that he got hurt on the play.

I would never have tweeted that had I known he got injured. Please know that.

Missanelli is a Philly Mag contributor. He was briefly suspended by 97.5 earlier this year after it was revealed he used homophonbic slurs in an email exchange with a listener. [Star-Ledger]
