As a native Philadelphian I have had lots of time to scope out some of the most unique and powerful women in this city. These ladies are my picks for #WCW.

Angela Giampolo

Angela is an amazing LGBT activist and entrepreneur whose intellect, kindness, and creativity never fail to impress me. She's also the only lawyer I know who can rock jeans, a suit jacket, and a pair of heels while getting from one meeting to the next on a scooter. Angela is unique in every sense of the word; truly one of my very favorite people.

Aeryanah Van Moi

This bombshell made me cry the first time I saw her perform at Tabu. Her energy and beauty is completely captivating on stage. Off stage, while she's still incredibly beautiful, her humor and big heart tend to steal the show.

Jamie Gordon

Most people know Jamie for her fabulous fashion sense and reputation as a great realtor, but I'm crushing on her for reasons people may know less about: Jamie is a wonderful artist and has a passion for travel that's taken her just about all over the world. What's not to love about that?!

Jules Burnstein

I liked Jules from the first time I met her. I love that she rocks short hair and is a die-hard West Philly girl. Jules is also a middle school teacher in the city (as you can probably tell she likes kids), which is a job that I have a ridiculous amount of respect for.

Carrie Jacobs

Carrie is the executive director of The Attic Youth Center, and my version of a celebrity crush. As a psychotherapist, I hear far too many stories about people who struggled all throughout their childhood and adolescence because they knew they were LGBTQ and had no support. Carrie and her organization works every day to make this story one that gets told less in our city. I'm so grateful for that.
