The Taney Dragons’ Magical Ride Comes to an End
Philadelphia’s Taney Dragons were entertaining to the very end. They came up just short in their elimination game Thursday night, losing 6-5 to Chicago with the tying run on third base.
We’ll have more on this in the morning, but right now, I think the AP’s Kathy Matheson is saying what we’re all feeling:
Can we still give @taneybaseball a parade? So proud they represented Philly! #LLWS

And now there’s a petition to encourage Mayor Nutter to throw a parade for the team that captured the city’s heart.
>@Michael_Nutter: Please throw the Taney Dragons a parade! @taneybaseball — now, w/ PETITION: http://t.co/0swW97nmAI

We will recognize the great accomplishments of the Taney Dragons, we have to work out arrangements with the team and their parents. Go Taney
