Adieu, masterful piece of corporate branding that we came to love. The 6ABC zoo balloon, slated to um, fold at the end of the year anyways, has been forced into an early retirement by…snow.
According to (who else?) 6ABC, “The balloon was damaged by the accumulation of snow this winter, despite efforts to minimize its impact. The weight of the snow on the balloon was an estimated five to 10 tons. In anticipation of even more snow, the manufacturer recommended that the balloon be deflated.”
Bye-bye, nice thing we liked to look at while stuck in traffic.
