WEEKEND ROUNDUP: Seven Years and LiCK-ing
Pull out your pasties, because tonight Liberty City Kings Drag and Burlesque (LiCK) troupe will celebrate its seventh anniversary with Tricks & Treats. Over the years the troupe, started by the vivacious Lascivious Jane, has grown to become quite an outfit. Now 15 members strong, they’ve become a staple around the Gayborhood and beyond, performing 13 regular shows a year. And that’s not counting the pop-up performances at Pride, OutFest, etc .
To celebrate their seven fab years, they’re bringing their shimmies and shakes to Tabu for a night of best-of performances, a tassel-twirling competition and a post-show dance party. Bonus points if you give founder and occasional G Philly contributor Lascivious Jane a big hug, for tonight is her birthday, too. Happy birthday, lady. And congrats on seven great years! 9 p.m., $10 (in drag/kink/costume)-$15 (no costume), Tabu Lounge and Sports Bar, 200 S. 12th St.
