GIVEAWAY: Win Tickets to First Person Arts Festival [UPDATED]
The 12th annual First Person Arts Festival kicks off tonight with a 10-day lineup of poetry, story slams (including out RISK! host Kevin Allison), food and … drag queens!
For the latter, First Person is hosting something similar to our Monday night ThinkFest event, where Martha Graham Cracker will moderate “an intimate evening of revealing interviews and live performances” with drag queens Icon Ebony-Fierce and Brittany Lynn, and drag king Stan. First Person has been gracious enough to give us a pair of tickets ($40 value) to dole out to G Philly readers. Here’s how to win:
Be the first person to email jmiddleton@phillymag.com with the name of your favorite Philly drag queen. It can be an oldie-but-goodie like Salotta Tee, or one of the up-and-comers, like Maddy Milan, who just won Best New Drag Queen in our latest Best of the Gayborhood issue. The winner will win a pair of tickets to the show on Wed., Nov. 13, at Christ Church Neighborhood House. More details and ticket links here.
The First Person Arts Festival runs Nov. 6-16 at various locations around the city. For more a full lineup of acts, go here.
UPDATE [11/6/2013, 11:59 a.m.]: We already have a winner! Congrats to Laura, who told me her favorite drag queen is The Goddess Isis. Nice choice!
