This Voorhees Guy May Have the World’s Best Beard
Won nationals, will now conquer world.
This man is called Jeff Langum. He is a 39-year-old web designer from Voorhees, New Jersey. Last month he deservedly won “Best in Show” (yes) at the National Beard Championship (yes) in New Orleans. Next up: The world.
He and his uniquely round auburn beard — described as “a scraggly rising sun” — will be in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany, on Saturday for the World Beard & Moustache Championships. The trip was partly funded by the Philadelphia Beard Club and sponsors.
There are some genuinely inspired beards 0n Team USA–but what Langum’s got going for him is the au naturel factor. He will be competing in the “Full Beard: Natural” category, in which “aids” are not allowed. Does that include beard oil?
