Feds Investigating PATCO’s Extremely Broken Elevators

Apparently, PATCO’s elevators are so bad the federal government is stepping in to investigate. (Is this the first-ever federal probe into elevators?) In August, the Inky reports, only 55% of PATCO elevators were functioning; their goal is 90%. And that’s a big problem for disabled riders. Big enough that last week, the Federal Transit Administration said it received a complaint that PATCO was violating the Americans with Disabilities Act.
