Temple Owls Will Have Real Owl on Sidelines This Season
Temple introduced Stella the Owl to coach Matt Rhule and about 300 season ticket holders at Saturday’s practice. Stella is a 3-year-old great horned owl who calls the Elmwood Park Zoo home. She is expected to be on the sidelines for Temple home games this fall at Lincoln Financial Field.
Stella joins Auburn’s War Eagle and Air Force’s Falcon among birds of prey on the college football sidelines.
The best part will be when Stella feasts upon the entrails of Temple opponents at halftime. Quite a show!
