Mayor Nutter Would Have Been Harder on Riley Cooper

Following his June 8th allegation to “jump that fence and fight every nigger here,” Eagles wide received Riley Cooper was fined and “excused” from team activities for counseling—a solution not stringent enough for Mayor Nutter. In a press release from Friday, Nutter addressed the incident, saying that he would “insist on a suspension at a minimum” before considering termination had Cooper been an executive branch “at-will” employee in his administration. Thankfully, though, Cooper seems to have removed any shot at a political career in the near future. [CBS]
