1974 Stanley Cup “Pinkie Ring” Stolen from Joe Watson’s Daughter
Ex-Flyer Joe Watson’s 1974 Stanley Cup ring–well, a ring given to his wife that his wife bequeathed to her daughter–was stolen from said daughter’s Rittenhouse apartment.
The diamond-encrusted pinkie ring was given to each player’s wife to celebrate the Stanley Cup victory. Heidi Watson, a nurse, says her mother gave it to her as a present when she graduated college. She says the ring is priceless for the family.
Watson, 35, says it was taken in a burglary. I don’t know, I heard something about Vladimir Putin pocketing it… [NBC 10]
