Philly Man Accused of Leaving Baby in Sweltering Car While He Gambled
Philly Mag’s Best of Philly issue is coming out next month. I’ll have to talk to the production people, but maybe we can sneak in a “Worst of Philly” sidebar. Here’s the early frontrunner for “Worst Parent.” 44-year-old Philly man Danny Ngo is being held on $100,000 bail after being accused of leaving his 18-month-old son in a car on Saturday, while he was playing blackjack at Parx Casino. “According to police, the child was alone, screaming, and sweating profusely,” CBS 3 reports. Added Bensalem public safety chief, “It could have been a fatality. This was 9:30 at night, it was 88 degrees outside. The temperature in the car was much higher than that, according to the officer.” [CBS 3]
