A small plane was spotted today flying over Center City and the U.S. Open in Merion towing a message demanding that Nutter step down.
“6 DIED & NO CHANGE – RESIGN NOW NUTTER!” the banner read in an image captured by Fox29.
It remains unclear who paid for the plane to tow the message. The Fox helicopter pilot told producers the plane appeared to be headed back to an airport in Trenton.
The message seems to reference last week’s deadly demolition-induced collapse of the Salvation Army at 22nd and Market streets; six people died in that incident.
