Sandusky Prosecutor Joins Private Firm On Main Line
Joe McGettigan, the prosecutor who put Penn State pedophile Jerry Sandusky behind bars, has left gubmint work and is joining a private firm on the Main Line. Main Line Media News reports the 64-year-old is joining the McAndrews Law Firm in Berwyn to work on civil cases.
McGettigan also achieved fame by prosecuting millionaire heir John DuPont, who was accused of murdering Olympic gold wrestler David Schultz in 1996. DuPont was found guilty and died in prison. McGettigan, a Temple University alum, also spent time in Iraq, helping Iraqis rebuild their court system, after the fall of Saddam Hussein.
