Philadelphia may not be the most-literate city in the United States, but there’s one area where we excel: Fornication. AshleyMadison.com, the adultery website last seen supposedly angering city residents with a pro-faithlessness billboard, is back with a new survey that ranks Philadelphia No. 8 among the nation’s most-adulterous cities.

Of course, AshleyMadison.com sure loves publicity, so AshleyMadison.com is forever doing things to gain AshleyMadison.com the attention of the public and news editors everywhere, not so much for the sake of informing the public, but to make sure that AshleyMadison.com is in the public eye so that if you are thinking adultery, you’re thinking AshleyMadison.com.

Which is why we get this ranking. And last May’s notice that the Main Line is full of adulterers, along with accompanying think pieces about whether that’s true or not. You’d almost be under the impression that AshleyMadison.com is more in the cheap stunt business than the cheap sex business, but at the end of the day, we’re still writing about AshleyMadison.com. So it may not matter either way.
