Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo to Play Art Museum This Weekend
Noise rock afficionados have an exciting weekend in store: Lee Ranaldo, a co-founder of Sonic Youth and Rolling Stone’s 33rd-greatest guitarist of all time, will be in Philadelphia this weekend to give three performances—one each on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Ranaldo will be playing some of his own works, as well as pieces by composer John Cage, in the Dorrance Galleries as part of the museum’s “Dancing Around The Bride” exhibition. Former members of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company will also perform. [Uwishunu]
