After months of aimless wandering, you can finally decide where to live this year. Beating out bitter rival (or completely innocuous next-door neighbor, whatever you like) East Passyunk Crossing, Passyunk Square has taken home the 2012 Curbed Cup for Philly’s best neighborhood! With powerhouse #1 seed Rittenhouse Square felled in the semis, the finals lacked a bit of drama. Whoever won, there would be no real class warfare (Society Hill vs. Kensington) or competing gentrifiers (Grad Ho vs. Fishtown). The loyal readers of Curbed Philly voted on this, so if you’re upset your neighborhood didn’t win (or didn’t make the list, like the robbed, “hipster” NoLibs) just assume all the Passyunkers voted every time they saw the word Passyunk, leading to inevitable Passyunk victory.
