New Video of Sandy Flooding Transit Stations

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has released more footage of the flooding that occurred in stations when Sandy hit the East Coast. In this montage of misery, water rushes past ticket machines and turnstiles and down tracks. Considering how hard it seems just to mop up a glass of water when you spill it, the turnaround time on getting trains and subways running again seems impressive. In the silence (either there’s no audio with station surveillance cameras, or they’re not releasing it), you can almost hear them scoffing at the Long Island Power Authority.
