Leaked Presidential Debate Rules Stipulate that “Double or Nothing” Is Out of the Question


TIME’s Mark Halperin got his hands on the rules of the 2012 presidential and vice presidential debates and was kind enough to share them with the rest of the Interwebz. The “Memorandum of Understanding” includes rules that prevent the candidates from challenging each other to double-or-nothing rematches, asking each other direct questions, propose a pledge to each other, or anything else that might make these things more fun and exciting.
