Amtrak to Test 165 MPH Trains in Jersey

Starting Monday night, Amtrak will test its trains at 165 mph on four stretches of track along the Northeast Corridor, including a section in Jersey. The hope is that trains will, someday soon, be able to operate at 160 mph at all of the locations. For that to get the green light, though, the trains must be tested at speeds at least five mph in excess of that limit. The section of track between Trenton and New Brunswick currently has a speed limit of 135 mph. [CBS 3]
