Get Ready for the Flyers to Head to Europe

Thanks for everything, NHL. As the leaves change colors and the temperatures dip, we won’t have the pleasure of watching the Orange and Black suit up for games in South Philly because of the league’s lockout. Some Flyers, though, probably won’t want to take the time off. Like Ruslan Fedotenko, who has already signed a one-year, temporary contract with a Ukranian hockey team. Jaromir Jagr—now a Dallas Star—signed a deal to play for the team team he owns in the Czech Republic. That team has also issued a standing offer to Flyers forward Jake Voracek. He’s not sure if he’ll take them up on their offer because insurance might be an issue. [Daily News]
