Apartments Planned for Site of Deadly Philly Pier Collapse
In May of 2000, Philly’s Pier 34 collapsed. Three women who were inside Club Heat drowned in the Delaware River. Now, more than 12 years later, a developer plans to turn the site—along with Pier 35—into to 209 residential units with a two-story parking garage. The first floor of the buildings would have retail space along with lobby amenities. [CBS 3]
