Curley, Schultz Want Charges Dismissed in Pretrial Hearing
A judge did not issue any immediate rulings in a pretrial hearing involving former Penn State officials Tim Curley and Gary Schultz. Attorneys representing Curley and Schultz argued that the failure to report abuse charges against their clients should be dismissed because the statute of limitations wasn’t in place at the time, but would have expired already. The defense lawyers also sought to have the prosecution outline specifics regarding the statements their clients made during the grand jury investigation that allegedly qualify as perjury. The judge did not indicate when he would rule on the motions. [Philly.com]
