SPOILER ALERT: Aly Raisman Competes in Women’s Floor

Aly Raisman secured her first individual medal at the London Games earlier Tuesday when she won herself a bronze on the balance beam after appealing the level of difficulty awarded to her routine. Everyone’s new favorite Olympian Gabby Douglas slipped off the beam and finished near the bottom of the standings. Raisman came back later in the day and crushed her floor routine by earning a gold medal with a 15.6. [NBC Olympics]

UPDATE: Also, Lolo Jones missed her shot at redemption in the women’s 100m hurdles. Jones didn’t medal and finished two-tenths of a second behind winner Sally Pearson of Australia. [NBC Olympics]
