Iconic Philly DJ, Joseph “Butterball” Tamburro, Dead at 70
Philadelphia radio legend Joseph “Butter” Tamburro has passed away at the age of 70. Butterball, as he was affectionately called, worked at WDAS for 50 years. The station is paying tribute to the DJ by playing artists that he broke while working there. He was an Italian-American from South Philly who got is start at WDAS as an ad salesman. [Daily News]
