Philly Gets to Keep Its Second Casino License
The final casino license up for grabs in Pennsylvania—the one that had been awarded to a group in 2006 that planned to open Foxwoods Casino in South Philadelphia—is back up for bidding. The state’s Gaming Control Board announced on Wednesday that it will accept applications for the license and the rights to Philly’s second casino until November 15th. Among the known interested parties is developer Bart Blatstein who wants to turn the former Inky building into a resort destination on North Broad Street. [Inquirer]
