TOY Gets New Venue
There have been many changes for Delaware Valley Legacy Fund (DVLF) this summer. First, John Moeller, the organization’s executive director since January of last year, announced after the HEROES event that he would be leaving to accept a position as vice president of external affairs at Planned Parenthood Northeast and Mid-Penn.
“While the board is sad to lose John, we would not be in the position we are today without his leadership and wish him all the best in this new endeavor,” explained Mark Mitchell, DVLF’s Board President, who said that Mark Dann is currently serving at interim director as the organization considers a replacement.
This week, DVLF also announced that one of its biggest fundraisers of the year – TOY – will be changing venues. After taking place at the Marketplace Design Center, collecting toys for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the event will move to the Reading Terminal Market this year.
TOY takes place on December 1, confirms Paul Steinke, Reading Terminal Market’s general manager. “We are so excited to have the event at the Reading Terminal Market,” he says. “We hope the new venue will enable TOY to grow beyond last year’s sold out event.”
