Former Archdiocese CFO Cops to Stealing $900,000

Anita Guzzardi pleaded guilty on Monday to stealing stealing more than $900,000 from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia while serving as its CFO. Guzzardi—a 43-year-old Camden resident—will be sentenced in late August and faces up to 21 years in prison. She was fired last summer after she initially denied taking the money. A large chunk of the money was spent at casinos in Atlantic City and Vegas. [Daily News]
