World’s Only Person Cured of HIV Visits Philly

The only person in the world who has been cured of HIV will be at the Prevention and Outreach Summit at the Philadelphia Convention Center today. Timothy Brown was diagnosed with HIV in 1995. The 46-year-old was on very close to death while suffering from leukemia and HIV in 2006 when a treatment rebooted his immune system and cured him of both diseases.
