Occupy Philly to Join Strippers Protest at Daily News?
The reason traffic sucked in Center City during your lunch hour today was because of an Occupy Philly protest. Occupy protesters—about 100 and change or so—started just west of City Hall and demonstrated in front of branches of Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of America on Market Street before continuing to Rittenhouse. Numerous police vans and a whole slew of bike cops showed up in response; at least two protestors have been arrested. Oh, and the remaining protesters plan to demonstrate at the Inky/Daily News building on North Broad around 3 p.m.—presumably to join forces with the stripper protest scheduled for this afternoon. Happy Tuesday, everybody. [Philly.com]
