Accuser Faces Heated Cross Examination in Abuse Trial

The 30-year-old Bucks County man who claims Reverend James Brennan raped him when he was a 14-year-old boy took the stand again today to be cross examined by Brennan’s defense attorney. Brennan’s attorney suggested that the accuser fabricated the story of the assault to get his mother’s attention. The witness maintained that the assault took place as he said and accused the attorney of focusing on irrelevant details to distract from the fact that Brennan had committed the assault. [Inquirer]
