Governor Christie Live-Tweets The Boss. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was at the Springsteen show at the Well last night and live-tweeted the whole thing. Christie has been taking to social media in an attempt to sway The Boss to play at Atlantic City’s Revel over Labor Day weekend. [Inquirer]

SRC Votes to Close Eight Schools. Also, they’re officially facing a $186 million budget shortfall in 2013 (that’s in addition to the $26 million they have to cut by June). I guess, when you look at it, $186 million is better than $400, right? [Inquirer]

Judge Delays Sandusky Trial. Prosecutors filed a 21-page motion in response to the motion to dismiss filed by Jerry Sandusky’s lawyer last week. In light of the filing, the judge delayed the start of the trial three weeks to sort through it all. [Philly.com]

Guy Brings Gun to PHL. Less than 24 hours after a guy tried to bring a homemade firework onto a plane at Philadelphia International Airport, another guy has been arrested for trying to bring a loaded semi-automatic handgun onto a flight. [6 ABC]

Flyers Rout Leafs. The Flyers scored seven goals, which made it easy on Bob as he filled in for an injured Ilya Bryzgalov in Toronto last night. Danny Briere didn’t score, but he tallied four assists as Simmonds and Schenn each notched two goals. [The 700 Level]
