PPD Rescue Dogs, Find 75 Stolen Bicycles

The Philadelphia Police Department found approximately 75 stolen bicycles while raiding a house suspected to be part of a dog-fighting ring on Lehigh Avenue. An informant tipped off the Humane Law Enforcement Unit about the dogs, and authorities found the bikes in the basement along with 11 dogs and items related to the dog fights. If you alerted the cops about your stolen bike, they’re probably in the process of matching the report to the ones they’ve found. The remaining bikes will be on display at the Major Crimes facility at Whitaker Ave. and Macalester Street on Wednesday afternoon.
