Nicodemo “Junior” Scarfo Denied Bail
Nicodemo “Junior” Scarfo—son of famed Philly mob boss Nicodemo “Little Nicky” Scarfo will remain behind bars until he is tried for his alleged involvement in a scheme that trained a Texan investment firm of $12 million in assets. Today, Scarfo and his lawyer attempted to convince a judge that his father’s name and his family’s reputation made it so that “Junior” was treated unfairly by the justice system. The judge wasn’t inclined to believe that Scarfo was getting a raw deal and ordered him to remain in prison, calling him a danger to society. [Inquirer]
