Ask a SEPTA Train for Schedule and Delay Updates
One small step for technologically savvy Philadelphians, one GIANT step for SEPTA. The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation authority is notorious for being behind the times. While PATCO users have dual-purpose Smartcards, SEPTA users rely on tokens and if you’re parking at a regional rail station in the greater Philadelphia area you’d better have a roll of quarters with you. But, thanks in part to the SEPTA-sponsored hackathon that took place in early October, Voxeo Labs developer Mark Headd has launched SETAlking. The new application allows you to speak to SEPTA trains Siri-style to ask about schedules delays. [Technically Philly]
