Petition to Change Penn’s Name Amidst Penn State Scandal

It doesn’t seem all that difficult. But, historically, people have had trouble differentiating between Penn and Penn State when referencing each respective university. The recent allegations against former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky have made the issue a bit more relevant. Some alumni think that the controversy might be the catalyst needed to get Penn’s Board of Trustees to vote on a resolution to change the university’s moniker.
