Penn State Scandal Conjures Up Memories of Catholic Church

The ongoing scandal out in State College this week hits home for a lot of students, alumni and parents in the area. It also evokes some not-so-nostalgic memories about the initial reports of similar deplorable acts allegedly committed and covered up by members of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The Catholic church ordeal hasn’t run its course, as hearings and court dates continue to be scheduled. For all, the allegations in both cases are more than vile.
