Terror Task Force Investigates Incident at PECO Substation
This morning someone cut a hole in a fence at a PECO substation in Holmesburg so that they could douse the equipment in gasoline and set in on fire. A fire at the same substation in August knocked out power to 20,000 PECO customers in Mayfair, Holmesburg and Tacony. A similar instance was discovered last week but police surrounded the area before the arsonist could light a fire or ignite a fuse, but not before he or she could slip away through a hole in the fence. Now, a terror task force is investigating the case in an attempt to stop the arsonist before things escalate. [6 ABC]
