Navajo Upset With Urban Outfitters
Use of tribe's name has Navajo less than thrilled with Philly retailer
Navajo Nation is upset with Philly-based retailer Urban Outfitters for using the tribe’s name on a line of clothing. The tribe holds trademarks on the name and claims to have sent a cease-and-desist letter to CEO Glen Senk over the summer. An Urban Outfitters spokesperson said that the company has no intentions of altering the line. [Philadelphia Business Journal]
