Former SRC Chairman and State Rep. Pressured MLK High Contract
Since the Philadelphia School District has had such a phenomenal public image this summer, the Scoop is astonished to hear that some people involved with the district are accusing former chairman Robert L. Archie Jr. and a state representative of playing some dirty pool when dolling out a contract for MLK High School. Dwight Evans went more than out of their ways to influence the handling of a contract for Martin Luther King High School. Is it bad that by this point any alleged corruption or dirty politics are pretty much white noise in Philly? [Inquirer]
