Council Passes Redistricting Plan
Council members get paid
In an effort to redraw district lines in the city—and ensure that they receive their regularly scheduled paychecks—City Council has passed a redistricting plan by a vote of 15-2. The plan was controversial because of the way the 56th was to be redrawn because of aspirations of certain members of City Council to become Council president. All said, the Scoop is just happy we could get this thing passed without having a horrible corruption scandal that leads to a Council member serving time. [Daily News]
