SRC Chairman Steps Down
Robert L. Archie Jr. has officially resigned from his post as Philadelphia School Reform Commission chairman in a statement released this morning. Archie held the spot for nearly two and a half years and resigns just a month after the announcement of the buyout of Arlene Ackerman’s contract. No murders over the weekend, the Catholic teachers are heading back to school, SEPTA’s high-speed Norristown line is finally running again, the Phils locked up the division on Saturday, new leadership for the Philadelphia School District and it’s 65 degrees and sunny—if the Scoop can squeeze 18 in this afternoon it just might be the best day ever.
