Philadelphia School District Has Some Shortcomings When Dealing With Violence

Report shows flaws

A new report shows that the Philadelphia School District has some shortcomings. Ya don’t say! The report details the District’s lack of accountability when it comes to violence. It shows that violence wasn’t reported properly, there was little counseling offered to students affected by violence, and solutions to violent problems weren’t implemented in all schools. This report comes out just in time to instill confidence in students, parents and the rest of the city that 2011-12 will be a safe and prosperous school year. [Inquirer]
