Teachers Walk From Negotiations With Archdiocese and Vote to Strike
Since March, the Association of Catholic Teachers and the Philadelphia Archdiocese have been in negotiations over new teacher contracts. This morning, the union walked away from the table saying that more than 100 issues still need to be resolved. Seeing as how they’ve got plenty of time to discuss, that shouldn’t be a problem. UPDATE: The Association of Catholic Teachers have voted to strike. The vote came hours after the group walked out of negotiations. Picketing has already begun outside the headquarters of the archdiocese on 17th street. [Inquirer]
