Flyers and Rangers to Star in HBO’s 24/7

The hockey documentary mini-series will cover the rivals leading up to the Winter Classic

The Flyers (and Phillies?) will play host when the Rangers come to play the NHL Winter Classic game at Citizens Bank Park in January, and HBO will be there to catch the behind-the-scenes antics on film. HBO’s 24/7: Road to the Winter Classic is a short series that covers both teams—in their true, explitive-ridden nature—for a month leading up to the annual outdoor game. HBO has also indicated one of the show’s focal points will be new Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov. The Scoop is pumped to have HBO capture the Flyers—in all their glory—for a month, but thinks it’s a shame that Richards and Carter won’t have the opportunity to use the show to demonstrate for everyone how to live it up in Center City.
