Web Original: Style Report: Live Models at JKarma and Some Cool Breast Cancer Awareness Events
October is officially Breast Cancer Awareness month and two stores are showing their support. Les Richards at The Shops at Liberty Place will be selling all pink ties for $29, with all proceeds from the sale going to Living Beyond Breast Cancer. And today, from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., West Chester’s cute apparel store Nich turns into a spa. They’ve teamed up with Aveda in Exton and will be offering free back and hand massages. Any tips will be donated to the Susan G Komen Foundation.
This is random, but we love it: Old City’s J.Karma will be having live models in their window tomorrow night from 6-9 displaying the newest of the season.
And in some really sad news, West Chester’s Plain Jane is closing. One upside is that there’s a sale. Everything in the store (including their fixtures) is 50 percent off. Sale dates are this weekend and the weekend of November 11th. Another upside is that the events that Plain Jane hosted were so popular they’ve created Plain Jane Mobile, where they bring the makeover/spa party to you. This exciting news came straight from Wedding/Lifestyle editor Emily Gagne: Jenkintown bridal shop Hennessy May’d is now a toy store called Rhinoceros. Same owner, totally new concept. It hasn’t even been open a month (so the website’s still in the works), but they have toys, games, books, costumes and a puppet show every Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
