A.C. Now: Kwi
Eating at Caesars' new Asian restaurant and noodle bar, Kwi, is a bit like using chopsticks: It's more satisfying to the initiated. First time? Your best bet is to grab a seat
Eating at Caesars' new Asian restaurant and noodle bar, Kwi, is a bit like using chopsticks: It's more satisfying to the initiated. First time? Your best bet is to grab a seat at the community table and make like the regulars. Bypass standard takeout fare — any dish with “General” in its name or greasy “rocket rolls” (fried scallion- and bacon-wrapped shrimp) — and embrace chef Joseph Ku's fusion cuisine. Share entrees of Szechuan shrimp and scallops stir-fried with crispy vegetables in spicy XO sauce, savory lobster fried rice, and classic Singapore noodles, all served quickly and attentively. While you eat, notice the 3-D mural made entirely of chopsticks; enjoy the view of the Palace East gaming area, with its hand-carved rosewood panel, gold-leaf ceiling and pai gow poker tables; and sip a nonalcoholic cranberry-orange shooter dusted with real gold flakes, for good luck.
