The easiest way to stay heart healthy is to stay fit! Stay involved with Go Red all year with these amazing Get Fit experiences.
#GoRedGetFit is an initiative of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement designed to help diverse women make healthy changes that become lifelong habits. The program, supported by Macy’s, enables women from all walks of life to stay on track with fitness and nutrition goals through quarterly challenges, motivation and educational tools. With more than 14,000 women currently in the Facebook group, #GoRedGetFit is a support system proven to inspire, motivate and celebrate the wellness journey. Each challenge lasts about 12 weeks and offers women a platform of encouragement to crush goals and reduce some of the leading factors of heart disease and stroke.
- “Pep Your Step for Good” (April 2017– June 2017): Log 10,000 steps a day, check and maintain cholesterol level of 200 mg or lower and talk with a health care practitioner about what the numbers mean for your heart health.
- “Glisten Up and Get Lean” (July 2017– September 2017): Get three days
of strength and resistance training exercises as part of your 150 minutes per week of exercise and eat healthy sources of protein like more lean meat and nuts, and consume less red meat. - “It Takes Two to Tango” (October 2017– December 2017): Get 150 minutes of moderate activity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity per week and focus on reading and understanding food labels.
- “She Got Moves” (January 2018 – March 2018): Select from any of the previous physical activity quarterly challenges, 150 minutes per week (or 30 minutes, ve days per week), and make a weekly meal plan to keep meals healthy, balanced and well proportioned.
Participants are highly engaged within the Facebook group, sharing recipes, posting videos and photos that celebrate goals and inspire each other. This daily engagement and positivity keeps healthy living top of mind and contributes to the success of the program.
As added motivation, participants are randomly selected to win prizes from Go Red For Women and Macy’s including gift cards, Ideology active wear and more.

Meet the Trainer: Lisa Morales
Lisa Morales is a full-time model, TV personality, and fitness mentor of more than 11 years, with a worldwide social media presence of over 8 million followers. She enjoys fitness, traveling, fashion, cooking, dancing, taking photos, the beach, giving back, and spending time with those closest to her. One hundred percent Latina with a Cuban background, Lisa resides in the sunny city of Miami, FL.
Life in front of the camera has taught her the value of fitness and it quickly became one of her biggest passions. Lisa promotes a healthy lifestyle with clean eating and regular exercise and loves sharing her knowledge to help people achieve their personal best, making her a perfect t for #GoRedGetFit. You won’t nd fad diets or miracle pills in her regimens, just tried and true workouts along with healthy nutrition.
In early 2013, Lisa co-founded the non-pro t organization, Miami Model Citizens “More than just a bunch of pretty faces”. The movement is dedicated to helping those in need, while breaking the stereotype associated with “pretty faces.” Miami Model Citizens is a team of ladies dedicated to helping animals, less fortunate kids, and families in need, because, “we all have an obligation to help those less fortunate.”
Being an in uencer for #GoRedGetFit combines Lisa’s love of giving back with her ability to lead and guide people in living their best and healthiest life.
Meet the Trainer: Scott Parker
Scott Parker is the founder and CEO of TruResults, a personal fitness company specializing in holistic approaches to create and maintain a healthy mind, body and soul and a second year in uencer of #GoRedGetFit. Established in 2006, the workout regimen of the TruResults system, like the #GoRedGetFit challenges, does not require the use of traditional gym equipment. TruResults has attracted many celebrity clients and others on the move. Scott focuses on the best way to help people reach their fitness goals within the context of their individual lifestyles.
Based on the foundations and principles of proper nutrition, good exercise and a positive attitude, Scott works with clients to increase their knowledge of healthy diets and wellness, increase their self-con dence and stimulate their desire to improve physical appearance and presentation. These same principles are applied in workouts and nutritional guidelines that Scott helps to create for the members of #GoRedGetFit.
Scott has used his science-based education and professional experience to become a much sought-after personal trainer and trusted fitness and nutrition expert of the American Heart Association. While a student at Florida A&M University, he studied biology and chemistry, and completed his graduate work in pharmacology. With over 15 years of personal training and martial arts practice, Scott has used those skills and his science background to become a well- rounded expert in total body fittness.
Based in Los Angeles, California, Scott helps clients achieve total wellness. His past/current celebrity clients include Jill Scott, Niecey Nash, David Banner, Jill Marie Jones, Tasha Smith and D’Angelo.
